A property inspection covers much more than the structural integrity of the property. With my diverse training and background in infrared, building systems, remodeling, and the associated trades, I am able to provide you with the thorough and detailed property inspection that you deserve.
Nearly every inspector follows the same basic checklist of items inspected. At Montana Infrared Services, we take your inspection to a higher level. We include limited infrared services as a part of our normal inspection process, not just using it when we suspect something is wrong. With the use of infrared cameras and other non-invasive testing equipment, we are finding things now that most likely would have been overlooked in the past, with a visual inspection only.
I have acquired my advanced application specific training through United Infrared Inc, and my Levels 1, 2 and 3 certifications through Infraspection Institute.
This extensive training and certification along with practical experience has given me the knowledge required to fully understand the proper conditions needed for a successful infrared survey, and how to recognize patterns and temperatures that could indicate a deficiency.
With over 5000 commercial and residential property inspections performed since 2006, we’ve taken this knowledge to better our services and continue to do so with keeping up on the latest technologies and equipment and education. We are a member of InterNachi and meet or exceed their standards of practice. All readily accessible areas and items are inspected, no “random sampling”.
Our thorough property inspection takes roughly 3 hours depending on the size of the property and any additional services chosen.
Beginning January 1, 2020, the State of Montana began mandatory registration for all home inspectors. Certain requirements are necessary in order to qualify. Montana Infrared Services has been in compliance with these requirements since starting business in 2006. Just like any other contractor you would hire, ensure that your inspection company is registered with the State of Montana and complies with ongoing education and insurance requirements.
Items are inspected for type of materials where applicable, current condition, and the need for maintenance, repair or further evaluation by a licensed professional.
